Nokia E61 Smartphone

Nokia E61 SmartphoneIt has the look of a Smartphone. It’s a [tag]Nokia[/tag]. So it must be good. Let’s just get straight to the onboard tech of this little gizmo.

The [tag]Nokia E61[/tag] comes with advanced email capabilities. How much more advanced can email technology be? Well, the E61 is able to send/receive email while you are talking on the phone - could come in handy while using it hands free. Plus, the email editor works in offline mode meaning that zero network coverage will not stop you from writing emails to send later or reading the ones that you have downloaded. I think the coolest email feature is the little indicator light that will blink when you get new mail.

The screen is a gorgeous 320×240 resolution which rivals the PSP (that’s Playstation Portable) in terms of color and brigthness.

As for the keypad, I would say that someone with big fingers would probably not enjoy it too much. It is a quiet keypad though so typing in your office or somewhere like a library will not be annoying people around you.

There is also built-in [tag]WiFi[/tag] so you can search out hotspots for browsing the internet and dowloading stuff.

As for applications, the Nokia E61 comes with a wordprocessor, spreadsheet and powerpoint type presentation software. The presentation software can communicate wirelessly with certain projectors too.

Before I forget, the E61 has 64MB of fixed user memory and supports miniSD for memory expansion.

I actually have rather large fingers but find the keyboard very easy to use. It’s much better than other devices. Anyway, I really like the device:
