Interactive Star Wars Lightsaber & R2-D2
Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006Not so long ago, in this galaxy, not too far away…
A guy named George Lucas came up with Star Wars and now we have 6 movie episodes worth of sci-fi fantasy to fill our imaginations!
What better way than getting interactive toys to translate that imagination into your living room?
Interactive Star Wars Lightsaber Game
First up is this cool lightsaber game that interacts with your TV.
The set comes with a spheroidical training droid (the kind that Luke Skywalker practices with in episode IV from the first Star Wars Trilogy) that plugs into your TV via RCA cable (that’s the cable with the white-red-yellow combination). The role of the spheroidical training droid unit is to detect the movement of the lightsaber unit wirelessly. Now you can battle hand-in-hand with the likes of Qui-gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the safety of your living room.
Not quite sure how safe the people around you will be with all that lightsaber swinging action though…
R2-D2 Interactive Droid
Next on my list is evebody’s favourite droid - R2-D2.
This R2 unit stands at about 15″ tall and has some very nifty functions built into it. For starters, R2 here obeys (if you can call R2-D2 obedient that is) more than 40 voice commands!
R2 also has a built-in infrared sensor which uses to play tag or as a motion detector where R2 will act as an intruder dectection unit.
I gotta have one!
