How To Watch Movies On Your Mobile Phone

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

mDVR RecorderFirst, you need to get the movie. Alternatively, you could record it off your cable TV and then watch it on your mobile phone.

The [tag]mDVR[/tag] was built for just that - record your favourite movie/TV show and play it on your mobile phone. It is basically a kind of video recorder that sits on your TV but it records shows directly onto a memory card in 3gp format (the kind of format that [tag]mobile phones[/tag] generally use). You then pick up your memory card from the mDVR and stick into your phone for your viewing pleasure.

I would say that if you had a PDA that can play 3gp format, then you could stick the memory card in there to have a bigger screen.

At the end of the day, you would need a mobile phone which is memory card enabled (or a PDA that plays 3gp), an mDVR recorder and a lot of public commuting time because if you had loads of time at home, you might as well catch your favourite shows on a big screen TV!
